Week 68 ~ fam history miracles & gconf

Heyyyy crazy week!! We were in Eindhoven on Monday for p-day to play soccer with the zone, in Antwerpen on Tuesday for a zone conference, and Den Haag on Wednesday to pick up Zr. Klenk´s residency card. Lots of traveling, but we had tons of fun.

Soccer was super fun and even though most of us suck we all went ham and played hard for like 4 hours haha. There were even some Dutch teenagers that joined us. They were really good haha. I made three goals somehow hahaha #itfeelsgoodtobeagangster

Antwerpen on Tuesday was the best!! We had an amazing zone conference and it felt so good to be back in Belgium. We traveled through Antwerpen centraal, my favorite station, and got Belgian waffles :) And then janky shoarmas afterwards for dinner with the whole crew. Such a good time.

One of our potentials has already read 200 pages of the book of mormon!! super cool! Except he doesn´t want to meet with us until he´s done reading it... haha so we´re just waiting on him

We taught Toga this week! In the huge Protestant church in the centrum... haha oops. He said he feels peaceful in there so we agreed. He´s awesome and told us he wants to watch all of conference and then wants to meet next week so we can discuss it. What a champ.

FRIDAY THE BIGGEST MIRACLE HAPPENED. We are helping Jasmine, a recent convert of two years, finally go to the temple to do baptisms. She has her date picked out, but she really wants to do the baptisms for her ancestors. So we decided to help her out. So Jasmine has had a really hard life and she doesn´t know tons about her family.. so all we had to start out with was her parents names and then two envelopes with the names of her grandmother and great grandmother and the places they lived. SUPER difficult. We searched and searched and Zr. Klenk helped her find a lot of hints and connect some things. Zr. Klenk was a family history consultant in her old ward so she´s good on family search. Jasmine was on the phone with her dad in America, trying to get more information. We hit a wall and were getting really discouraged, and we knew we were about to find something good because Satan was trying to make us stop. So we took a break and got dinner and brought it back and got back to work. I am better at ancestry.com than familysearch and I created an ancestry account for her and that´s when it started rolling. I found a document that had her great grandfather´s name on it and we got really excited. THEN I found another user´s tree that connected perfectly with Jasmine´s and we found a ton of her ancestors!!! As I started entering them back into her family search, after a couple of generations, her tree connected with another users and then her ancestors went all the way back to the year 800!!!!!! We witnessed a literal miracle. It was very emotional and Jasmine was crying because she finally found the identity that she´s never known! She testified to us that she knows that everything in her life lead up to her moving to Holland, meeting the missionaries, and getting baptized so she could be the link to helping her ancestors receive these ordinances as well. And we started with only two letters. It was amazing. I know that God has a plan for each of us!!

General conference was amazing! I hope you all the chance to watch it and if not, go back and watch it! My favorite talk was by Bonnie Oscarson about service. I felt like a lot of the talks were about service and helping one another. I love how she talked about how we can change the world by helping the people around us. I had some questions going into conference and every single one of them was answered. I know that God listens and answers our questions if we ask.

Some proof that we´ve lived together for too long:
"What´s my shoe size?" -me testing Zr. Klenk
"9." -Zr. Klenk with no hesitation
and
"You know what I´m craving?" -Zr. Klenk
"Frozen grapes." -me
"How did you...?" -Zr. Klenk

Ik hou van jullie!!
